During a daytime, a municipality building is a part of the small square scenery, and by no special character is separated from other buildings nearby.

Near Zagreb (a capital of Croatia) there's a small town Samobor. This place is an old baroque town with a beautiful central square, Square of King Tomislav. This place is worth while illuminating, so we decided to propose a special scenery solution for the Municipality building.

Project was realised by using a four different products of various manufacturers. We use 8658 (BEGA), 7475 (BEGA), Lineos (Exterieur Vert), Corniche (THORN) and 8413 (BEGA) PinSpot reflector, to obtain a specific lighting scenery shown on the photographs. Lineos was used to accent a medallions on the wall, while Corniche produce accented effect on the roof windows. With 7475 we illuminated an entrace portal. Those luminaires were well hided by rich decorative plants, hanging from the balcony. In the front of the pillars (balcony section) we put 8658, to create vertical connection with the timpanum on the top. Timpanum itself was enlightened by two 8413 PinSpot reflectors, placed in the corners. All the wiring was done internally, so we needed to do some straight and minimal perforations of the walls.

What was the impression before, you can se on the picture above. Only two candelabres enlightened a square in the front of the building. No particular detailes were emphasized. Pretty sad scenery.

It is obvious how now this beautiful building have a special light dress during a nighttime. It looks like a building itself feels better now. You should ask cityzens about their oppinion, too.
